Explore Secret Gardens Across Victoria This Spring
Spring in Victoria is about to bloom in spectacular style. Open Gardens Victoria is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a season of breathtaking private gardens opening their gates for just one weekend each. From flower farms and rose estates to coastal escapes and community plots, this program offers the ultimate spring adventure.

September 20–21: Emerald
Telopea
Ten acres of drama in the Dandenong Ranges featuring rare native blooms, a two-acre cactus garden, and sweeping hilltop views. As a working flower farm, it’s a colourful start to the season.
October 25–26: Bellarine Peninsula & Banyule
Red Gums – Bellarine Peninsula
One of the original gardens of Open Gardens Victoria, designed by legendary landscaper Sam Cox. Expect sculptural rocks, layered natives, and more than 150 species. Sam will also give talks across the weekend.
Farm Raiser & Bellfield Community Garden – Banyule
Two side-by-side urban gardens showcasing sustainability and community spirit. Enjoy veggie patches, compost workshops, a pizza oven, organic produce sales, and a vibrant local atmosphere.
November 1–2: Macedon Ranges
Blackwood Ridge
Three acres of high-impact colour, garden rooms, ponds, and Japanese-inspired design. Created by a landscape designer and chef duo, this garden has even featured on Better Homes & Gardens.
November 8–9: Yarra Valley
Ridgefield
A country estate reimagined, now home to over 500 rose varieties and a boutique perfumery crafted on-site in a converted shed. A true scent lover’s paradise.
Bentwood
A 20-year passion project by OGV’s Head of Selectors. Handmade stone walls, flower paddocks, vintage sculptures, and sweeping Kinglake Ranges views make it a deeply personal and inspiring space.
November 15–16: Mornington Peninsula
Little Steading – Flinders
A newer but timeless garden with wildflower meadows, hydrangeas, and a poolside garden. Nestled between coastal bushland and rural fields, it’s a serene Peninsula escape.
November 29–30: Surf Coast Hinterland
